How We Charge
Given the unique nature of Wine Country Confidential tours, it’s impossible to fully price out your experience before crafting your personal itinerary. What we can tell you is this: While most transportation companies charge by the hour and tack on a bunch of hidden costs such as license fees, a refueling surcharge, and an automatic gratuity (typically 18-20%), we don’t.
Wine Country Confidential charges a fixed rate of $85 per hour plus $50/day fuel, which doesn’t include the tasting fees.*
"Remember: Our goal is to connect you with the best local wines featuring the flavors profiles you prefer all while being mindful of the wine budget you set forth. We may ask you to expand your horizons, but we’ll never ask you to break the bank."
As for gratuity, we take great pride and satisfaction in providing a service that helps our guests make memories. While gratuity is always appreciated, it is neither included nor expected.
*Tasting fees are established by each tasting room or winery, but they generally run about $50-$75 per person. Access to more exclusive offerings, tastings at cult wineries, and more formal tasting opportunities that include time with the winemaker or other perks are usually charged at higher rates.
About Your Itinerary
Many wineries now not only recommend but even require reservations in advance of your visit. Small boutique wineries with limited productions may only accommodate 2-3 tasting groups a day, making reservations especially difficult to come by. Creating an itinerary around these exclusive tastings is a juggling act of epic proportions – luckily, you have us.
A few important things to remember about these reservations:
Advance notice is extremely helpful
Most “appointment only” wineries – especially those not typically open to the public – require a credit card deposit and many also have a 48-hour cancellation policy
Tasting fees will often be waived for guests who purchase a certain amount of wine or those who join (or are already current members of) the winery’s wine club
Thanks to our special relationships with some of the area’s best wineries, we’re able provide exclusive access and reduced pricing to a variety of tastings, tours, and other elite events
Keep in mind – there are independent companies throughout wine country who will happily book these tastings for you for a hefty fee. We book them for free, as part of your Wine Country Confidential tour package!

Refund Policy
Wine Country Confidential requires a $100 non-refundable deposit that’s due at the time of booking. Any deposit forfeited due to cancellation may be applied to another tour at a later date.
